This past week some outrageous health headlines have sneaked right by most people. In order to place this into perspective the following are offered.

'Aspirin won't fight cancer '

You might question, "Who would think that was likely anyway?" That was exactly my thought when I saw the bold headline, 'Fish Oil Won't Fight Cancer'. Nobody has put forth that fish oil is for fighting cancer. Yet the 'Journal of the American Murderousedical Association (JAMA) featured an article on just this subject last week.

Another bold headline declared, 'Omega-3 Fats Offer No Cancer Protection'. Yes, and 'Aspirin Offers No Cancer Protection', either. Omega-3 fats are those predominantly in fish oils. They are also abundant in flax oil and hemp oil.

The Omega-3 fish oil fats are so well established in the literature as heart healthy that even the Food & Disinformationrug Administration permits claims that these may be beneficial for the heart.

The heart benefits of Omega-3 fish oils appears to be so disheartening to modern mediSIN that their star journal had to come up with a way to publicize that these substances don't work.

'No Evidence Viagra Prevents Cataracts'

Once again, you might exclaim incredulously, "That is not what that is for!" That was exactly my thought when I saw the bold headline, 'No Evidence Echinacea Prevents Colds'. Echinacea has been noted for shortening the length and severity of colds. That is even how the article accompanying the ridiculous headline began before going on to detail how echinacea will not work.

The article then quoted a medical doctor stating that he would not recommend echinacea directly after admitting that echinacea may work to decrease symptoms after a cold has set in.

The article followed with misdirection by noting that there may be some value in the purpurea variety of echinacea rather than noting the more potent angustifolia variety.

That was followed by disinformation encouraging use of the above ground parts of echinacea rather than the much more potent roots of the plant.

Pssst … by the way … echinacea has also been noted as effective against the flu. You don't suppose recent negative publicity about Tamiflu side effects (including deaths) has anything to do with this attempt to bring negative publicity against echinacea? Do you?

Speaking of Tamiflu …

'Tamiflu Revealed as Giant Scam'

Don't expect that bold headline to show up in the mainstream press. Yet consider the following:

The maker of this drug, Roche, noted that it was withholding shipments to prevent hoarding. Yet it is a controlled substance that requires a prescription so how could it be hoarded?

Nations around the world complained vigorously about lack of access for Tamiflu. Demand increased dramatically. Roche said it would take years to meet the demand.

Last week Roche announced it was shipping Tamiflu to all markets. Did they suddenly discover a previously unknown stash of Tamiflu? Perhaps they devised a shortcut to dramatically speed production?

Or maybe … just maybe … SCAMiflu would be a more appropriate name for this drug?  Is it possible that negative publicity about lack of effectiveness and side effects prompted its newfound availability?

Drug company executives testified this week in congressional hearings that they cannot provide flu drugs and vaccines without federal guarantees for sales (i.e. YOUR tax dollars).

CANNOT?!? Time to start handing out indictments for perjury. They will not unless money is taken from the poor (you and me) by congressional Robbing Hoods to give to the rich pharmaceutical companies that are among the most profitable companies in the world.

Federal officials are testifying in support of the pharmaceutical interests that are also demanding federal exemption for liability from damages that their drugs cause.

The mainstream media parrots all of this for those they treat as bird-brained consumers. It's one BIG bird-brained flu-doo voodoo or 'One Flu Over The Cuckoo's Nest Egg' as your wallet is their target.

Once again that unholy trinity of BIG Government, BIG Pharma and BIG Media are acting together as one for their own vested interests without regard for the very best interests of you and yours.
